What is on record

The mounted boss of the Crimson Forest: a bandit chief who opens the fight from the saddle of a bone-plated warhorse, dismounts once his health drops and continues behind a spiked shield, then with the sword alone. Drops the Outlaw Warblade.

Who he is

Jing Ye, the Outlaw, is the second main boss of the Crimson Forest in the chapter Snake's Reflection, after Hua Qianxiao and before Bai Chilian. Game8 files him under the Maskwalkers and places him near the Outlaw Trap bell, past a ground trap; PowerPyx's capture opens on the map at that bell with the Crimson Forest at 19% completion. The Chinese name bar, read from a Douyin stream on launch weekend, is 亡命徒:荆野, "Jing Ye the Desperado". There is no trophy for the fight; the reward is the Outlaw Warblade, which Game8 goes on to recommend for the Gold-Masked One because of its guard-break.

What the footage shows

In PowerPyx's video (Oct 29, 2026) the name bar "Jing Ye, the Outlaw" is on screen from 0:10 and does not change. The arena is a clearing of red leaves and pale grass between boulders, with an archery target and a rack of spears at the far side. For the first half he is in the saddle: at 0:55 the warhorse rears in a spray of blood, its head and flanks plated in bone, with Jing Ye in a wide straw hat on its back. At 1:45 the pair vanish into a cloud of dust, and from 1:55 he is on foot with a sword, still under the same name bar, until the fight ends around 3:35. At 1:40 he says, "My blade will drain you dry."

Three stances

Game8 splits the fight into three parts. Mounted, he opens with a parryable horse jump and a three-hit string ending in an upward slash that the guide says to Perfect Dodge, because the string takes a large piece of health. Most other mounted attacks can be blocked, except red- and blue-glint ones; hold block until he staggers, then strike. He also squeezes a bag in his left hand to fire red missiles, which the guide says to mix blocking and dodging against, since blocking alone still lets the last hits through.

He dismounts after about a third of his health is gone and fights behind a shield with a blue stagger bar under his name bar. Once the shield and that bar are broken, the sword stance begins: his long jump is always followed by a very quick, parryable slash, and the screen greys out during his Sha-Chi-draining leap, which is the cue to parry the hit that follows.

Game8's build

The Dread Axe from Peng Meng as Phantom Edge, for breaking the shield and the blue bar; the Scarlet Wraithblade from Hua, Deadly Betrothed, to wear down stagger, alternated with the Jagged Steel for bleed; and two accessories, the Cavalrybane for extra damage while he is mounted and the Shieldbreaker Talisman for fifty percent more damage to shields.

Drop

The Outlaw Warblade, a main weapon (KeenGamer, Game8). It is on the weapons page from the retail equipment menu; this is the fight that gives it.

Phase notes

The phases above are the ones shown in official footage, named by their on-screen name bars. Tells, punish windows and health thresholds are added only once the retail fight has been checked; we do not invent them from trailer cuts.
