File Size & Pre-load

About 135 GB on PS5. The PlayStation Store backend lists the PS5 version at 134.857 GB, with pre-load having opened on October 27, 2026, two days before launch. Both figures were read off Sony's store database by a tracker account, not announced by S-GAME, so they are labelled Reported. Nothing has been published for PC beyond "SSD required".

Last checked Oct 29, 2026. Rows change to Confirmed when a store page or S-GAME states the figure.

Confirmed

Why the number is "reported", not confirmed

Sony's store lists a package size for every PS5 title in its backend before the figure appears on the public product page. Accounts such as PlayStation Game Size read that field and post it, and the number is usually within a few hundred megabytes of what the console shows on launch day, before any patch. It is still a third party reading a database, so this site labels it Reported until the PlayStation Store page or S-GAME shows a figure.

What to do before you download

Clear at least 135 GB on the PS5's internal SSD or an installed M.2 drive before you start the download, and expect a patch on top. The game does not unlock early for pre-loaded copies: everyone starts at the same moment, 7pm Pacific on October 28, which is 02:00 UTC on October 29. The release time page converts that to your time zone. On PC, keep the same amount free on an SSD; the PC requirements page has the rest of the spec sheet. If you are still deciding where to buy, the price comparison lists every official store by region.

FAQ

How big is Phantom Blade Zero on PS5?

About 135 GB: the PlayStation Store backend lists 134.857 GB for the PS5 version, according to the PlayStation Game Size tracker (October 16, 2026). S-GAME has not confirmed the number, so treat it as a close estimate until the store page shows a figure.

When can I pre-load Phantom Blade Zero?

Pre-load opened on October 27, 2026 at 02:00 UTC, 48 hours before launch.

How much space do I need on PC?

145 GB on an SSD, per the Steam page's system requirements as of launch day (both minimum and recommended). Leave room for patches on top.

Will a day-one patch make it bigger?

Unknown. Most launches of this size ship a patch in the first days; its size is only visible once it is on the store. We will add it here when it appears.

Is Phantom Blade Zero digital only?

At launch, yes: PS5, Steam and Epic are digital. S-GAME has announced a PS5 physical edition for 2027 (Standard, Deluxe and a steel-case Ultimate Edition), with no date or price yet. Details on the physical edition page.
