What is on record

A hovering musician puppet guarding the puppet testing grounds under the Village of Lu well; she plays a pipa and fires homing orbs, red projectiles and ringed shockwaves that the guides say to block, interrupt and dodge in turn. One of the Four Great Puppets; drops the Heartrend Pipa.

Who she is

Yuzan is the first of the Four Great Puppets: the gold trophy "The Four Freed" is "Defeat the Four Great Puppets: Yuzan, Yubi, Yuding, and Yucong". Game8 lists her as a main boss of the Village of Lu and quotes the in-game description, a Vessel-Class Musician Puppet guarding the puppet testing grounds; KeenGamer places the arena inside the village well. Her instrument is the pipa, and beating her drops the Heartrend Pipa Phantom Edge, which is on the weapons page from its post-fight item card in PowerPyx's capture (3:12).

What the footage shows

PowerPyx's capture (Oct 29, 2026) has the name bar "Yuzan, No. 3 Musician Puppet" on screen from 0:25 to the end of the fight around 3:00. The arena is a dark flagstone yard with braziers burning at the edges. At 1:05 Yuzan hangs in the air inside a tangle of red light while Soul closes in; at 1:55 a green crescent arc sweeps across the yard through a haze of red and blue threads while she hovers with arms spread, playing. Soul fights with a sword and a flying-blade Phantom Edge in the capture.

Attacks and how guides handle them

Game8 names three patterns. The homing attack: she plays while hovering and releases glowing orbs; hold block as they arrive, which bounces them back for a little damage, then watch for her instrument sparking red, which means a quick red projectile is coming. The area attack: a glowing red and blue ring around her; step back and throw ranged daggers to interrupt it, which sends her back into the homing pattern. The ranged slashes: a blue spark on the instrument, then a red one as she bends and walks backwards, each spark releasing two slashes to dodge before the next volley of projectiles.

Game8 also notes that parrying her sound waves and blue sound blades turns them back on her. The same page lists no weakness.

Drop

The Heartrend Pipa (Phantom Edge), per KeenGamer and Game8.

Phase notes

The phases above are the ones shown in official footage, named by their on-screen name bars. Tells, punish windows and health thresholds are added only once the retail fight has been checked; we do not invent them from trailer cuts.
