What is on record

The first boss of Pangzhen: a masked official in red who whirls meteor hammers on chains, summons warriors of the Order and, once his first bar is empty, rises again wreathed in green phosphor under a second name bar with fire that burns. Drops the Fire Meteor Phantom Edge.

Who he is

Blaze is the first main boss of Pangzhen, in the chapter Town of Death, fought on the main route between the South Gate Bridge and Jingyang Hall (KeenGamer's Phantom Edge guide). Game8 files him under the Perfect Transcensions and lists the Fire Meteor and a Soulrend Storeroom Key as rewards; KeenGamer's boss list adds a Crimson Flesh Lily just past the arena. He is a Shadow Warden Captain, not one of the three Elite Shadow Wardens of the trophy Three Wardens Fall, and there is no trophy for him. Fextralife titles its page after his second form, Blaze, Phosphor Consciousness.

What the footage shows

PowerPyx's capture (Oct 29, 2026) opens on the Pangzhen map at 4% completion. At 0:15 the cutscene shows him under a gatehouse in the rain: a red brocade robe, a black cloak, a tall black official's hat and a gold mask, a spiked meteor hammer hanging from the chain in his hand. At 0:25 he says, "Who... Who's controlling me?!", and the name bar "Blaze, Shadow Warden Captain" appears. The arena is a flagstone square below the gate, strewn with leaves, red lanterns on the walls. At 0:50 he says, "Quick, finish it!"; at 1:00 a hooded warrior in purple joins him on the square and fights beside him for the next twenty seconds; at 1:30 he shouts, "Ahhh! Kill! Kill!" The first bar is gone by about 2:05.

At 2:10 the camera cuts to Soul, and at 2:15 a green glow engulfs Blaze. From 2:20 the name bar reads "Blaze, Phosphor Consciousness" and the fight continues with green phosphor fire: a green blast at 2:25, green fire around him at 3:05, green flame on the ground at 3:35 and a green explosion at 3:50. At 3:15 he cries, "Ahhh! Please! I beg you, set me free!", and at 3:25 a subtitle labelled The Herald's Voice answers, "Why stop here? Master Soul hasn't even felt the warmth yet." The second bar is empty by about 4:05, and the capture ends at 4:00 with him slumped on his knees against Soul.

Attacks and how the guides handle them

Game8's first-form list: a sideways chain whirlwind of six hits ending in a leap with the burning orb, which the guide says to block through and then dodge the leap for a cinematic dodge and a large stagger; looping AoE chain swings ending in a fiery ground smash, where a hit is called lethal because of the burn; and the summoning of two extra enemies, best handled by lowering one's health and using the instant-kill prompt to remove both, or ignoring them if Blaze himself is nearly dead. For the second form it lists a fiery breath and a lunge into a one-hit grab (dodge the lunge), chains whirled overhead that leave a ring of fire following you before it slams down (jump over the edge without touching it), and a head smash followed by fire from patches on the ground. Game8 recommends the Flameward charm, which it says halves fire damage and burn build-up.

Fextralife names the first form's Meteor Swing, Hammer Throw (block the first hammer, parry the second), Spinning Hammer, Blazing Slam (a red flash, so counter it), Entangle (dodge when the hammers glow green), Retreating Swing, Rolling Hammers and the Warriors of the Order summon; and the second form's Phosphorous Blast, Phosphor Shower, Flaming Sweep, Hammer Slam and Rain of Phosphor. Its summary is to stay close, where most of his attacks are safer to punish, and to clear the summoned warriors before more waves arrive.

Drops

The Fire Meteor, a flail-type Phantom Edge (KeenGamer, Game8); Game8 also lists the Soulrend Storeroom Key. The Fire Meteor's item card is on screen at 4:07 in PowerPyx's capture.

Phase notes

The phases above are the ones shown in official footage, named by their on-screen name bars. Tells, punish windows and health thresholds are added only once the retail fight has been checked; we do not invent them from trailer cuts.
