What is on record
An optional puppet boss hidden beneath the first Sha-Chi Tower in the Weeping Creek Valley: a bride in a red veil who blinks across a field of red flowers, drops exploding blossoms behind her and ends combos with a grab. Drops the Scarlet Wraithblade.
Who she is
Hua, Deadly Betrothed is the bride of the Weeping Creek Valley: an optional boss fought in the Flesh Lily Fields at the bottom of the region's first Sha-Chi Tower. Game8 files her under the Puppets, and the PS5 trophy for beating her, the bronze "Scarlet Wraithblade", reads "Defeat Hua, the Bride", so the trophy text and the name bar use different titles for the same fight. She is the first of several bosses who share the Hua name; Hua Qianxiao, the Sword Fanatic, in the Crimson Forest is a different character.
How to reach her
Game8's directions: from the bell on the first floor of the Valley Sha-Chi Tower, go north around the tower until you find a hole in the ground and slide down into the area below. KeenGamer places the arena at the bottom of the tower in the Flesh Lily Fields. PowerPyx's video shows the approach and the arena: a clearing of red flowers under purple light, ringed by bare trees and a ruined stone wall.
What the footage shows
In PowerPyx's capture (Oct 29, 2026) the name bar "Hua, Deadly Betrothed" is on screen from 0:15, and she keeps one name bar for the whole fight. She fights with a single long sword and stays at range until she blinks in: at 1:00 she is a dark figure on the far side of the field, and a second later she is on top of Soul. Her attacks leave red blossoms on the ground, and at 2:00 a burst of pale smoke marks one of them going off next to Soul. Soul answers with the Jagged Steel in the capture; the fight runs about three and a half minutes at Wayfarer pace.
Attacks and how guides handle them
Game8 names four patterns. Red flowers appear during her attacks and while she recovers Sha-Chi, then explode after a delay, so the guide says to keep clear of them. The spinning backstep pulls floating flowers back to her starting point and detonates them; the guide recommends dropping lock-on and repositioning, because she blinks to you during it. White flowers are thrown slowly and home in, and she blinks in front of you afterwards; dodge rather than block, since the follow-up is either two sword swings or a grab (a Killer Move) that only a dodge avoids. The overhead slash is slow and leaves room for quick counters.
Game8's build for the fight is the Sanguine Twin with the Dread Axe from Peng Meng as the Phantom Edge: a charged Dread Axe hit can knock her down, and charging just before her stagger bar fills interrupts her recovery. The guide also notes she tends to grab during the player's own animations.
Drop
The Scarlet Wraithblade, a main weapon (KeenGamer, Game8), plus a Flesh Lily (KeenGamer). Fextralife's build video pairs the Scarlet Wraithblade with the Jagged Steel, which is why this optional fight is worth taking early.
The phases above are the ones shown in official footage, named by their on-screen name bars. Tells, punish windows and health thresholds are added only once the retail fight has been checked; we do not invent them from trailer cuts.
