What is on record
The first of the three masters of the Village of Lu's Heartless Remnants quest, a grey-haired swordsman who blocks, parries from a stance and counters with a red glint; his blue-glint vertical slash is parried, his leaping slash is dodged. Drops the Tianxuan Bronze Sword.
Who he is
Master Bi Yuan of the Tianxuan Sect is a main boss of the Village of Lu in the chapter Heartless Remnant, the first of the three masters whose bodies the quest asks you to find and lay to rest. Game8 files him under the Masters and places him in a fenced arena north-east of the Statue Grounds Entrance bell, marked with red strings on the map; Fextralife says past the stairs near that bell. KeenGamer's list has him near The Lady Grounds bell and notes that beating him clears the first thread seal on the village well. The reward is the Tianxuan Bronze Sword. There is no trophy.
What the footage shows
PowerPyx's capture (Oct 29, 2026) opens on the Village of Lu map at the Statue Grounds Entrance, 23% complete, with the quest prompt "Heartless Remnants: Find the bodies of the three masters and lay them to rest". The arena is a yard lined on two sides with rows of stone statues, timber houses behind, and red thread strung overhead. The name bar "Master Bi Yuan of the Tianxuan Sect" is on screen from 0:15 to about 1:35. He is a grey-haired swordsman in a dark robe; at 0:25 blood sprays as the first blows land, at 0:50 he calls, "Force of Heaven!", at 0:55 his sword throws a wide teal arc across the yard, and at 1:15 the screen floods red. At 1:35 the camera closes on his grey head as he falls.
Attacks and how the guides handle them
Game8 is mostly about his defence: he blocks often and counterattacks, so stop attacking when he starts blocking; in his Parry Stance, sword held in a special pose, any hit on him is parried completely, so hold off and block or dodge the follow-up. His Blue-Glint Vertical Slash, alone or as a combo ender, has a distinct wind-up pose and is parried for a Ghoststep counter. His Leaping Slash from long range is unblockable and the only attack he throws after a jump: dodge right after the red glint for a perfect dodge and a counter. He also parries with his left hand and answers with a red-glint counterattack.
Fextralife names the Dual Slash (block the first, parry the slower second), Blade Waves (straight-line sword waves, one or two, blocked at range), Overhead Slashes (back away from the charge, then dodge the blue-flash second hit), the Energy Blast (he crouches, charges and thrusts; dodge sideways) and Bladefall (a wide stance and a leap with a red flash; counter it). It calls him agile and evasive and advises close-to-mid range, since distance invites the waves and the blast.
Drops
The Tianxuan Bronze Sword main weapon (Game8, KeenGamer). Its item card is on screen at 1:38 in PowerPyx's capture.
The phases above are the ones shown in official footage, named by their on-screen name bars. Tells, punish windows and health thresholds are added only once the retail fight has been checked; we do not invent them from trailer cuts.
